As a student pursuing my diploma in Social Service Work (SSW), this scholarship is not only a significant financial support but also an affirmation of my commitment to helping others. Growing up in Baghdad, I attended Baghdad College High School, a prestigious institution known for its rigorous academic environment. This background fueled my passion for engineering, inspired by my father, an engineer and construction manager back in Iraq. My family immigrated to Canada three years ago in pursuit of a better life for us my father starts working as a construction labor, and this scholarship is a significant step towards realizing my dream to be working with him together as engineers.
With your support, I can focus more on my studies and engage in the hands-on experiences so essential to my field. This scholarship not only alleviates financial pressure but also motivates me to excel and honor the trust you’ve placed in me. I aim to become a professional engineer, contributing to innovative projects that positively impact society.
